The event has been rescheduled by Piacenza Expo management, the company responsible for operating the show, following on from the 2020 edition being delayed until 2021 due to Covid restrictions. The 24th Geofluid will now take place from 13 to 16 September 2023.
The postponement of the event is said to be due to "the significant pressures on the supply chain that the geotechnical sector is currently experiencing and a global scenario of instability that does not allow anyone to hypothesise an adequate international mobility" for an event that has in previous years had visitors from over 90 countries.
In the absence of geopolitical certainties in the immediate future, Piacenza Expo decided to reschedule the event in the interest of the whole sector, also in consideration of the community and national forms of aid to restore dynamism to the drilling and foundation sectors.
The 2023 edition is, therefore, planned to be an important moment for future works in the drilling, foundations and subsoil sectors by virtue of a hoped-for recovery of the market, and also in terms of international stability.
