"The Advantage Engineers transaction brings additional capabilities to our Mid-Atlantic business and perfectly complements Kleinfelder's operations as a whole," said Kleinfelder's president and CEO, Louis Armstrong. "We now have a strong CoMET practice that seamlessly integrates with our existing geotechnical and environmental practices in the region. This additional expertise can be leveraged to deliver added value to existing clients, as well as create opportunities with new clients that will fuel growth."

The acquired operations are positioned in the industrial distribution and logistics and commercial development markets. Within the Mid-Atlantic states, these will be new markets for Kleinfelder and will help the company expand business regionally.

In addition, since many existing clients for Advantage Engineers have a national footprint, the combined organisation will now be able to serve these clients throughout the US. With the transaction, Kleinfelder is adding new office locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland, these will be additions to its existing 60 office locations in the US, Canada, and Australia.

"I am excited to join Kleinfelder," said Dan Schauble, formerly Advantage Engineers' geo-environmental division president. "Kleinfelder's technical capabilities and national footprint will enhance and advance the exceptional geotechnical, environmental, and CoMET consulting services Advantage Engineers has provided for the last two decades."
