National Pile Croppers (NPC) has been granted copyright for its name, logo and title with regards to pile cropping and all related services in the US. The granting of copyright registration is a recognition of the role the company has played in developing and refining hydraulic pile croppers, the importance of its product range and, importantly, the increasing awareness in North America of National Pile Croppers.
Under Class 7 Pile Cropper and Class 37, National Pile Croppers' copyright covers the installation and repair services, namely installation and repair of pile croppers; mining extraction, oil and gas drilling; rental of construction and building machinery; rental of pile croppers; information, advisory and consultancy services in relation to the aforementioned services.
The copyright consists of the stylised wording ‘NPC' and ‘National Pile Croppers', with ‘NPC' appearing vertically on a piston within a machine with three chains emanating from the top, and ‘National Pile Croppers' appearing on a larger shaded rectangle to the right of the machine design with a smaller shaded quadrilateral to the right of the larger rectangle.
"You have to prove the words are that well known that they can only be associated with you in your field(s) of application," National Pile Croppers director of business development, Ian English, explained. "We are incredibly proud to be granted the US copyright as it recognises how synonymous National Pile Croppers is to the piling and pile cropping industry in the US."
