The new app from Sandvik provides users with a list of recommended drill rigs based upon basic site condition and production requirement information.
The Rotary Blasthole Drill Selector app is accessible via desktop or mobile devices and can be used as a website or as a mobile app. The advantage of using the app in a mobile environment is its availability without an internet or cellular connection. Users can install the app on a mobile device without the need to visit the app store or similar site by clicking on the "Install App" button when viewing the website via a mobile browser.
The app has an intuitive design making it easy to use.
1. Complete the project information (mine location, your name, title, email, material mined)
2. Select metric or imperial measures, your drilling method and project specifications (hole diameter, first pass capability, max depth) and submit for a list of recommended rigs
3. View your list of recommended rigs
After viewing the recommended rigs users can quickly get in touch with Sandvik by clicking the request quote/contact us button. This will send the user's contact information, project specific information along with the list of recommended rigs to the local Sandvik representative who will contact the user to further discuss specific needs.
"In two screens and a couple of clicks customers can get an overview of which drill rig may help satisfy their needs," said Rob Ewanow marketing manager, Rotary Drilling Division, Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology. "If they want to further discuss their requirements with their Sandvik representative one click is all it takes. How easy is that?"
