In his new role, Hurt is being tasked with maintaining and growing DKI's business internationally. The US-based business, which has more than 35 years' experience in the drilling industry, manufactures a comprehensive range of drilling tools at its state-of-the-art facility, certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards, in Mansfield, Texas.

Drill King products are made with high-quality US material and include DTH hammers sizes 2in to 24in button bits 2-3/4in to 42in (70 - 1,067mm) shock absorbers 3in to 18in, casing advance systems along with a complementary range of percussive and rotary accessories.

Hurt brings with him 30 years of broad experience in the drilling industry where he supported customer needs worldwide throughout the various industry markets

In support of his remit to grow DKI's global business a stocked warehouse will shortly be located in the UK enabling customers to quickly access many of the products offered by the company.

"This is a great opportunity to expand Drill King's footprint outside the Americas giving International customers based in Europe and beyond quick access to many top-quality drilling products from a stocked warehouse located in UK," said Hurt when asked about his appointment.
