Boart Longyear moves headquarters to new operations centre

Boart Longyear is relocating its corporate headquarters to a new location in West Valley City, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah, US. Founded in 1890 in Johannesburg, South Africa, the drilling products and services company relocated to the Salt Lake City area in 2005.

The new headquarters joins the operations centre, which was opened last year combining a number of Boart Longyear sites from around the Salt Lake Valley. The new facility now houses a manufacturing plant, distribution and service centre, engineering, and drilling services personnel.

This latest move relocates the remaining administrative and corporate offices with the expectation that all of its 350 Utah-based employees and local entities will be housed under one roof by the end of June.

"This move into one building unifies our efforts for improved communication and productivity," said Jeff Olsen, president and chief executive. "We are now better positioned to remain competitive and add more value when responding to customers' needs."

The newly combined corporate headquarters and Salt Lake City operations centre is located at 2455 South 3600 West in West Valley City, Utah, US.
