As part of the development of this multi-million-pound development, two Casagrande C5R XP-2 drill rigs with special kinematic are being utilised. The Casagrande rigs, which are powerful, compact and easy to use, can work in narrow spaces such as tunnels or inside buildings and that is why they have been selected for this project.

The multipurpose C5R XP-2 drill rig was designed by Casagrande to perform projects in the fields of foundation drilling, specifically for constructing anchors and micropiles and the crawler rig is equipped with a separable power pack equipped with a 90kW power electric motor or 100kW diesel engine, a modular mast and a double joint kinematic. In addition, it is easy to truck and manoeuvre, thanks to the ergonomic remote control.
