Expert opinion across the world indicates that much of the planet's long-term, viable heating, electricity and transport solution will need to include hydrogen, if international carbon targets are to be met. The ERM Dolphyn project - ERM Dolphyn Green Hydrogen - led by ERM - enables offshore wind resources to contribute to hydrogen production, by bringing together the latest floating wind and hydrogen production technologies.

The offshore infrastructure associated with the project will include a pipeline and mooring and anchoring systems for the floating turbine.

GDG is supporting the project with the development of survey requirements and planning.

Speaking about the project, Paul Doherty, MD of GDG, said: "Sustainability continues to drive the sector and GDG is ideally placed to support it, particularly with our expertise in floating turbines and its contribution to hydrogen production."
