To improve core and soil sampling management within the ground investigation operations of its clients, geotechnical and ground source heat specialist supplier, MGS has released a custom photoboard product to cover all labelling requirements.
Photoboards are made from a durable dry-wipe surface, used to help clearly record and identify core samples from site investigations.
"To help ensure full traceability in ground investigation sampling, especially for challenging projects, we are excited to launch our bespoke photoboard product for use in applications such as trial pit, rotary core, line and laboratory sample logging" Darren Portway, division manager at MGS, said.
Given the demanding applications in which MGS products are typically used, the photoboards have been made with durable, weather-resistant materials, making them perfectly suited for consistent use even in harsh site conditions.

As a tailored service, MGS is also offering its photoboards to be entirely customisable with company branding, allowing companies to display their logo, colours, fonts and contact details.
All photoboards include graduated 10mm scales, clearly legible markers, labels and colour reference charts to correctly fulfil any requirements for exploratory hole documentation.
"With clear and concise labelling on coreboxes, customers can improve the quality and precision of the data by assigning samples with a unique project name, number, date and other important information needed" Portway added.
Established in 1988, MGS is a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialist quality products for use in ground investigation, water well and geothermal drilling applications, railway drainage, landfill gas extraction and more. MGS products, including its industry-leading Rhino Corebox, have been instrumental in major ground investigation projects where core samples need to be transported long distances back for laboratory testing.
"With a prominent position in the geotechnical industry, we are proud to be enhancing our product ranges to give even greater features and benefits to the clients we supply. We are confident the new photoboards will help logging requirements be met and we look forward to assisting more ground investigation projects with our innovative products in the years to come," Portway concluded.
