Akela Construction is using the Pagani rig to carry out CPTu profiling and sampling for site investigation prior to major housing developments.

"It means Akela can carry out their own tests as and when they need on different parts of a site and get accurate information immediately," explained MGS technical sales engineer, Chris White.

White delivered the rig to Glasgow-based Akela before Christmas and provided three days of training. "It went really well. The Pagani is intuitive to use and offers a complete package for getting good quality data quickly and simply. It is easy to manoeuvre which makes it possible to carry out tests and sampling on different areas of a plot which saves time and increases efficiency for Akela's design and build projects," added White.

"It helps us continue to deliver our projects on time, on budget and exceeding customer expectations. With this approach, we build long-term client relationships resulting in repeat business," said a spokesman for Akela.
