Tackling similar issues, but with a Northern perspective, the next seminar will take place in Manchester on 26th February 2020, at the Trafford Suite at the Manchester United Football Club, Old Trafford.

The core focus of the Manchester seminar will be an examination of whether the geotechnical sector has become a victim of its own success; with recent advances in approach and techniques bringing many benefits, it could be all too easy to assume this has eliminated all the potential ground risks, which could lead to complacency.

The diverse speaker line-up, which includes Highways England, Arup, AECOM and Imperial College London, will discuss this issue from many directions, using real-world examples.

Further information will be published on the BDA website shortly - www.britishdrillingassociation.co.uk.
