The video, which is available to watch on the FPS website, has been produced to bring clarity and guidance to this known area of safety concern, following a number of incidents related to large plant items overturning in recent years.
Speaking about the video, John Chick, chair of the FPS, said: "Whilst some of the recent incident regarding rigs overturning may or may not be due to platform issues, it was still felt that the training and guidance video would be of help in reducing the risks associated with specific aspects that have been highlighted by FPS members.
"The video aims to raise awareness around the importance of working platforms and what responsibilities need agreeing between the parties, as well as clarifying clearly the responsibilities for working platforms."
