The project is very special because this method of foundation installation has previously only been used at sea. It is a great milestone, which IQIP is proud to be involved with. IQIP will contribute to the installation of 12 monopiles for the wind farm at Maasvlakte 2, the Netherlands.
Eneco is developing the wind farm of 22 turbines with a capacity of more than 100MW, commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat (Netherlands Public Works).
The project will contribute to making the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management energy neutral and will be a highly innovative onshore wind farm, generating more than 400GWh of green energy per year from 2023 onwards.
