More than 330 piles, ranging from 450mm to 1,050mm in diameter, are being installed to the record-breaking depths by the continuous flight auger method (CFA), by Van Elle using its Llamada P160 and P140 piling rigs.
Malcolm O'Sullivan, piling director at Van Elle, said: "Over the past few years we have been installing CFA piles to deeper and deeper depths.
"So when we see a record-breaker like this, to more than 32m, we really have to rely on the skills of our whole team to make sure it is delivered safely and on time.
"I'm delighted with the work of our teams on the Manor Road project and look forward to handing the site back to the client shortly."
Following a request from Morgan Sindall to deliver extra design works in the early stages of the project, Van Elle brought in colleagues from A-squared.
The project, in Canning Town, will conclude after a 10-week programme.
