All Foundations work on the new development is the installation of a mixture of pile diameters ranging from 300 to 600mm, two contiguous bored pile walls and a sheet piled wall, working on site for 22 weeks.
The programme of construction works will be phased to minimise the impact on the local community, and All Foundations will be working closely with McLaren, the contractor, to keep the local community regularly informed. A team is already on site carrying out early preparatory works and will be based in a former national retailer's unit for the duration of the construction. The build is set to take 100 weeks.
The Castle Quay development will deliver a new restaurant and leisure offering for Banbury, anchored by a new superstore, a ten-screen cinema and a 117-bed hotel.
Shahrooz Zojaji, All Foundations' MD, said: "This is the most diverse, prestigious and largest project to date for us. To deliver it, we will have the opportunity to work as a team and collaborate with our client and consulting engineers to be able to face the many challenges the project will present.
"Effective planning, problem-solving, collaboration and value engineering will be key in delivering this project and our team here have risen to the challenge."
