Doosan Portable Power offers a comprehensive range of generators, portable compressors, lighting products and construction tools for use in a wide range of industries. With its very latest products, the company continues to increase choices for portable power customers.

The new G20IIIA and G30IIIA generators provide prime power outputs of 19 and 30kVA and are driven by the Yanmar 4TNV88 18kW and 4TNV98 31kW diesel engines, respectively, meeting EU Stage IIIA engine emission regulations for generators.

Sharing a similar design to the previous G40IIIA to G200IIIA platforms, the new G20IIIA and G30IIIA generators offer robustness and reliability, high-performance and a wide choice of features to meet the needs of temporary power applications.

The fuel tank configuration on the G20IIIA and G30IIIA generators will ensure autonomy of at least 47 and 55 hours at 75 per cent of the load, respectively. A user-friendly feature is the electrical control and power compartment, which has been designed to meet the highest safety, reliability and flexibility requirements. All control functions are grouped together on the 4510 Deep Sea Electronics simple-to-use operator control panel, displaying critical operating parameters at a glance

Another new development from Doosan is a new generator option for the company's portable compressor range aimed at the utilities industry and rental companies serving this sector. The new 8.5kVA generator option meets a specific requirement in utility work to meet the demands of the latest fusion welding equipment, providing electrical power that can also be used for lights and tools together with compressed air for powering breakers and other pneumatic equipment.

The generator option is available on two machines - the 7/31+ model, providing a free air delivery of 3.0m3/min at an output pressure of seven-bar and the larger 7/41+ portable compressor, supplying 4.0m3/min of compressed air at seven-bar output pressure.

Another option on these compressors is the ‘Tough Top' polymer canopy combining durability with aesthetic design, making it an especially attractive investment for everyday applications in the toughest working conditions. In addition to its outstanding durability, the Tough Top canopy is also non-corrodible. It can be supplied in customer colours and retrofitted to existing Doosan compressor units.

Like all Doosan compressors, the modular design of the 7/31+ and 7/41+ ensures that a wide range of optional equipment can be added easily. As well as the polymer canopy, they can include LED lights, a heavy-duty light grill, a number plate clip, wheel nut indicators and a ‘bunded base'.

The bunded base option for environmental safety is available on most of the models in the Doosan range, providing a fully contained base to ensure that all operating fluids (fuel, oil and water) stay within the compressor.

Doosan has also launched the new 14/144 Stage IV compliant model, the largest model in a new single axle portable compressor platform. It offers a bunded base as standard and a well-positioned fuel tank features a large size filler to limit the risk of fuel spillage.

The 14/144 portable compressor is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 six-cylinder diesel engine producing 168 kW of power at a full load speed of 2,000rpm. The 14/144 supplies a free air delivery of 14.0m³/min at a rated operating pressure of 13.7-bar.

All Doosan compressors are built to withstand the rigours of everyday applications in the toughest conditions. They can be supplied with a range of running gear options to meet local market requirements. The running gear can also be replaced with a permanent metal support, typically ordered when the compressor is to be truck-mounted.

Serviceability is excellent, with easy access to all maintenance points. All areas have been carefully designed for ease of inspection, maintenance and repair. Service intervals for several components have been extended to increase uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
