Attakroc was founded in 1995, in Quebec City, Canada, where it quickly established itself as a specialist distributor and consultancy for the construction drilling industry in Eastern Canada.
The team at Attakroc, led by managing director Francois Caron, have worked on a number of large projects in the region, including geotechnical drilling at Rivière Romaine hydroelectric complex owned by Canadian power utility company, Hydro Quebec. Today the team at Attakroc also services customers in the water well, geothermal, and mining industries.
Caron said: "I am passionate about ensuring a successful future for the Attakroc team and customers in this rapidly evolving market. My vision and goals are aligned with those of Mincon, which means that we, the team and I, can grow our business by continuing to focus on excellent customer service, providing the world's best drilling systems from Mincon's comprehensive range of products, and developing more powerful partnerships."
Joe Purcell, CEO, Mincon Group plc, added: "Francois and his team are incredibly passionate about what they do and ensuring that customers receive the best service possible, which is one of Mincon's core values. The team in Quebec are a perfect fit for us, and we're thrilled to have their calibre of experience in our ranks."
Attakroc Inc will be rapidly integrated into the greater Mincon Group, with the team in Quebec moving into a new office and warehouse in Q1 2022.
At launch, this facility will officially become Mincon Canada, Centre de Services du Québec, servicing customers in Eastern Canada.
Customers in the western regions of Canada will continue to be serviced by Mincon Canada, Western Service Centre, based in Vancouver.
