The announcement of the contract award follows on from the company's successful investigation work undertaken already undertaken on the A9 dualling project: Tomatin to Moy, A720 Sheriffhall Roundabout, and A82 (Tarbert to Inverarnan).
The works for Transport Scotland, valued in the region of £1.1M (US$1.3 million), will be undertaken under the supervision of Jacobs UK and managed by Soil Engineering's Coatbridge GI team.
The award of this contract continues Soil Engineering's involvement in the ongoing A9 dualling scheme, bringing safer and more efficient travel to the North of Scotland. Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity, Michael Matheson said: "Work to dual the A9 between Perth and Inverness is continuing at pace across the programme with design work ongoing. Having recently published the draft Orders for the Tay Crossing to Ballinluig scheme, we are now able to award a ground investigation contract for the same scheme which will help inform ongoing design work."
