One of Geoboringer's drilling operators Andre Bloksted was looking for safer and more efficient ways of doing their work and was scanning the market for the right type of drilling rig - this ended up being the MM4 model from Massenza.

Bloksted then presented his idea to Geoboringer, which decided to set him up independently with a machine of his choice and his own creative team, which is how Boreteamet was created.

Before ordering the machine, Bloksted wanted to see a slightly older MM4 on a tough job site and talk to people who had experience in using it. He went along with Danish dealer FYMAS to a UK site and was satisfied with the results of the testing.

"Day by day we find even more tasks that can be done easier and faster because of the machine's incredible flexibility and strength - and even though the tower can turn in all required directions and raise or lower or be turned sideways at the same time, the machine is incredible stable, in fact the weight distribution is ‘rock stable'," Bloksted commented.

"With the MM4 we use much less set-up time than before, as in many situations we don't have to move the entire machine, we can just move the tower - and on unlevelled ground we don't need to level the chassis of the machine, we just park the chassis and easily adjust the tower vertical if the job requires that position etc."
