The MB-23 comes with a drill head with 2,258ftlb of torque and 81rpm, a standard SPT autohammer and a high-speed winch with 1,100lb of lift force for extremely fast rod extraction. The MB-23 has a hydraulic cylinder driven mast which provides 28,800lb of lift-up force and 21,650lb of pull-down (crowd) force.
Other features on the new rig, which has a 23hp petrol engine and can be configured for DPL, DPH, DPSH sampling, include a 140lb (63.5kg) hammer with a 30in drop height, and a high-speed winch with 1,100lb lift force and slip ring.
Options available on the MB-23 SPT, which conforms to ASTM D-1586-11 for SPT sampling, include levelling outriggers, rod rack (trailer only), sampler bench vice, and a stroke counter.
