Watson & Hillhouse introduced the side grip to the UK in 1999, and it is now once promoting the Movax brand. The product offering has been developed since the ‘90s and Movax now offers a range of excavator mounted piling equipment; from the side grip vibrator to piling hammers, pre-auger drills and telescopic auger drills. The Movax Control System (MCS) has also been developed further with Movax Information Management System (MIMS) which includes mFLEET and mLOGBOOK.

To support the existing market, and for demonstrations to new customers, Watson & Hillhouse is adding two side grip pile drivers to its hire fleet - an SG-45V and an SG-75V which will be available from late November.

Watson & Hillhouse, which has specialised in the supply of pile driving equipment since 1972, has invested more than £10m in equipment in order to create the UK's most comprehensive range of piling equipment. The company operates a policy of continual replacement making plant available for used plant sales alongside its hire and new equipment sales businesses.
