On Thursday 11th April, CDE and Walker Quarries will officially unveil the 200t per hour (TPH) sand and aggregate wash plant to the industry as part of an open-day event designed to share insights and expertise.
Commissioned at the company's Wallerawang Quarry in New South Wales, the CDE solution is supporting Walker Quarries to produce a range of materials for the local construction industry, including two sands - 0-3mm and 3-5mm - and five aggregate products - 5-3mm, 10-7mm, 20-14mm, 22.5-75mm and +75mm oversize.
Daniel Webber, CDE's general manager for Australasia, said: "It's exciting to see this plant operational to really see the benefits it has delivered, not only for Walker Quarries but for the local construction industry and economy.
"We're really looking forward to throwing open the gates of this facility and welcoming the wider industry onto the site to see the plant in full operation."
Wayne Chapman, quarry manager for Walker Quarries, added: "We're delighted with the success of the entire project, from the initial discussions, right through to the installation and aftersales care, the entire team at CDE has included us every step of the way and completely exceeded our expectations.
"Since the new wash plant has become operational, there has been an ease in production bottlenecks. The plant's flexibility in configuration has allowed us to develop new high-grade products such as a thermal resistivity sand. We're excited to show this new offering to the market."
The 200TPH plant taking centre stage at the event comprises of CDE's M-Series M4500 modular wash plant, an AggMax scrubbing and classification system, an AquaCycle high-rate thickener, and a filter press sludge dewatering system. It also incorporates CDE SmartTech, a plant management app that enables customers to better understand their plant's performance, schedule maintenance and easily order parts.
