Dutch Twente canals enlargement completed

Mark Harbers, the Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, has attended an event celebrating the completion of the enlargement of the Twente canals in recognition for the work of the consortium Van Oord - Hakkers - Beens, who worked on the final phase of the enlargement of the canals that run through the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel, connecting the three largest cities of the Twente region, Almelo, Hengelo and Enschede to the country’s national network of rivers and canals.
