WST is a company with global reach, with consolidated offices in Brazil and Kazakhstan. The establishment of a subsidiary in North America marks a significant step in the company's global expansion where it will offer its technical services to help clients address water challenges, maintain compliance with local regulations, and support corporate efforts around (ESG) environment, social and governance principles, worldwide.

Water Services and Technologies Canada (WST Canada) is headed by Dr Aschalew Debebe, who will oversee operations and technology, and Martin Draeger, responsible for business development and strategic marketing. Both have extensive global experience in environmental consulting, technology innovation and business management.

"WST Canada will initially focus on providing integrated solutions for mining, water and beverage, and industrial companies grappling with persistent water-related challenges. Whether too much water or too little water, our teams of environmental engineers, earth scientists and digital transformation experts will provide clients with practical, cost-effective solutions while also adding operational insights through our data management team," Draeger said.

"It's understood that effective water resources management depends on an integrated approach, combining sector-specific knowledge, the right technologies, and the ability to transform data into strategic business intelligence. We lead important projects aimed at optimising processes and providing intelligence to support operational decisions and the production of compliance reports for ESG goals." Debebe added.

The CEO of Water Services and Technologies, Dr Nilson Guiguer, celebrated the expansion and believes that this is a very important step for the organisation as a whole.
