The three-year framework will provide ground investigation to meet the needs of five UK councils; Neath Port Talbot, Swansea Council, Carmarthen Council, Pembroke Council and Ceredigion Council.
Operating locally from the company's Bridgend office, Socotec was awarded a place on the South West Wales framework along with three other organisations. The purpose of the framework is to supplement Direct Labour Organisations in the delivery of civil engineering construction and specialist work packages.
"Being appointed to the framework means we can deliver ground investigation services to an alliance of councils in South West Wales. Our extensive in-house resource and ground investigation experiences means we have the capability to deliver timely and efficient ground investigation services to meet the local councils' requirements," said Daniel Mallett, operations manager for Socotec in Wales and South West.
Socotec's proven its ability to deliver good working practice, technical and professional ability won it a place on the framework. Having worked on various sized projects across the UK, and with over 80 years of ground investigation experience, Socotec is well placed to deliver services to meet the small civil engineering works as well as the larger construction projects taking place across South West Wales.
