The MPX90 is the biggest piece of equipment in the Junttan range and it will be used by Hylkema to significantly increase its heavy piling capabilities. With new MPX90, equipped for both full displacement piling as well as CFA, Hylkema is now able to reach pile lengths up to 40m with Kelly extension.

Junttan's MPX90 uses a state-of-the-art JD45 rotary head which enables large pile diameters and together with 60t pull-down force and 100t extraction force good penetration even in hard soil conditions. For easier soil conditions the rotary offers high rotation speeds - up to 70rpm - and high-speed feed with excellent winch control for maximum productivity.

The first project Hylkema used the new rig on was a relatively small residence project of 34 apartments in Groningen, northern Holland. For this project, Hylkema used CFA piling method with 600mm diameter, pile lengths being 20m.  A total number of 70 piles were installed. Even though the job site was small, the MPX90's versatility and efficient mobilisation enabled Hylkema to reach higher daily production than planned.
